The badge of honor for women was established on December 31, 1899 by the Grand Duke Karl Alexander of Saxe-Weimar in 3 departments. Women were awarded for their merits in the Fatherland and charity. Achievements in the field of medical care, assistance to the poor and community assistance in orphanages, culinary and household schools were especially noted. Women were mostly members of domestic sororities in the Grand Duchy or direct employees.
Presented here 1. The department was granted after a faithful 20-year activity. The 2nd department was then granted for 30 years of activity. This medal additionally received an open, gilded, 5-curved crown movably associated with the medal. The 3rd detachment was then awarded for 40 years of service in this area of the Fatherland and charity. The medal additionally has a gilded laurel wreath and a gilded crown as a wreath.
All insignia are very rarely especially 2nd and 3rd divisions.
